A product positioning statement forces you to use a one page format to summarize everything that matters for your product. Here is a template for a positioning statement.
- For[target customer]
- Who wants/needs[a compelling reason to buy]
- The[product name] is a[product category]
- That provides[these key benefits].
- Unlike[the main competitor],
- The[product name] [provides these key differentiation points].
