Chani is the Events & Engagement Officer for QUT Entrepreneurship and the Business School. Working with QUT for 8 years, Chani has been instrumental in a number of large scale events including Startup Weekend NextGen, Waste Maker Day and Queensland Connects workshops in partnership with Advance Queensland. Chani has supported the Business School in many events including Business Leaders Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, Careers Fair, Business Leaders Forums and the Australian Undergraduate Business Case Competition.
Prior to working with QUT, Chani was an Events Manager for a not-for-profit professional association running a full program of events and state conferences. Chani gained her passion for running events in the UK as an international roadshow coordinator for a global bank, travelling across Europe and overseeing the logistics and coordination of travel and hospitality both domestic and internationally. Chani studied Travel and Tourism at the Greenwich School of Management in London and holds an Executive Certificate in Event Management through the University of Technology Sydney.
In her role with QUT Entrepreneurship, Chani works with all sections and faculties of the university and works broadly with both staff and students. Through events, Chani is able to create opportunities for the entire QUT community and help as many people as possible realise their potential as an entrepreneur.
